JOHN LILBURN REED

John Reed died at a Hospice facility in Pensacola, Florida on January 10, 2010. John was the second born of twin boys to Jim and Segie Reed on March 19, 1063 in Pensacola, Florida. A memorial service at First Christian Church was held on January 23, 2010.
He attended Pensacola Christian School. In June 1985, he graduated from Troy University with a degree in chemistry. He was employed in testing labs in Pensacola and Mobile. The last few years he worked at the Test America Lab where he was in charge of the Inorganic Chemistry Lab and held that job until his death. John was a member of First Christian Church where, during his high school years, he was active in Sunday School, youth groups and served as a Junior Deacon.
He was preceded in death by this grandmother and grandfather Reed and his grandmother, Segie Thompson, who all loved him dearly.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Anita; his parents, Dr. Jim and Segie Reed; his twin brother, James T. Reed of Atlanta; his younger brother, Thomas G. Reed (Suzanne) of Omaha, NE; his niece, Kylie Reed and nephew Tyler Reed of Omaha.

ELIZABETH DURRETT RHINESMITH
September 26, 1916 - January 26, 2010
Elizabeth (Liz) Rhinesmith passed away on January 26. Liz moved to Pensacola in 1998. A native of Gadsden, AL, Elizabeth attended First Christian Church in Gadsden for over 60 years, where she was an organist, until she transferred her membership here to First Christian Church of Pensacola. With a Diploma in Music, Liz taught piano until she retired.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Rhinesmith; and is survived by her daughter, Sherry Phillips of Gulf Breeze; son, William (Helen) Rhinesmith of Sugar Hill, GA; and numerous grand & great-grand children. Graveside services were held January 30 in Gadsden, AL.
